The Pen Tool inside Premiere Pro works in the same way of the Pen Tool inside Photoshop or Illustrator. Firstly you have to define such directions, using the Pen Tool. These are used to type text along directions completely personalized. There are other two tools to create text, the Path Type Tool and the Vertical Path Type Tool. You can delete a text area with all its content inside right-clicking and going to Clear. However, they can have a different color and/or appearance. Pay attention that these pieces of text are always together since they are inside the same Title clip. Using the Type Tools, you can create more pieces of text by dragging and then typing inside. The Title clip just built can contain inside more pieces of text per time. You can come back editing your text double-clicking on the Title clip from the timeline or the Project window. Make sure to put it in an upper video track, or the text will be fully covered by your video. So you can drag it on your project and use it. You will find it as a Title clip listed in the Project window. To finish the creation of the text, simply close the window. Or, if you are lazy, you can choose one of the templates below. Moreover, you can use all the properties shown on the right: from the basic ones like opacity or tracking to the more advanced ones, adding filling, stroke or shadow. On top you can set the font, the size, the line distribution, the leading and the letters width. Many of the properties following will be applied just to the piece of text selected. These are just used to make all easier and ordinate. Remember that neither the text box nor the horizontal lines will appear when you will render your project. If you hold CTRL down and drag the area, you will move it and so the text inside as well. Just make the text smaller or simply hold CTRL down and drag the corners to enlarge the text area. But if your text is too big or long, it will exceed the text area, and so it won't show up fully. If you click inside, you can start typing. The rectangle created is called text area and defines the maximum contours of your text. So just choose one and click and drag on the preview. The difference between the two is the letters orientation: the Type Tool types text normally, whereas the vertical one puts one letter under the previous one. To create simple text, simply choose between Type and Vertical Type Tool.
On top you have the main text properties, such as font or size at the bottom different ready text templates and, on the right, the full list of properties for the text. You can change its placement, to see if the text in progress fits. In particular this shows your video project where your playhead is.
More at the bottom other tools to adjust the text distribution. On the left, on top, you have all tools to edit and create text. If you don't find one, tick it in the Window section. This is composed by different panels put together.
With this window, you set anything regarding the text appearance. For simplicity, set the same resolution of your project. This is meant to define the maximum space allowed for your text. In the new dialog box, choose the resolution of the text. Choose one of the three options, it's the same. You can add some text going to Title section, and then to New Title. Let's suppose to have this simple video project. Leave feedbacks if you find mistakes in pronunciation.
